iRacing.com Hit With Patent Suit Over Simulation Technology
iRacing Motorsport Simulations LLC is facing a patent infringement lawsuit over its use of software that modifies the simulation performance of a race based on the temperature of each track section.
Integrated Technology Solutions LLC alleges the subscription-based simulated racing platform is infringing on its patent for an invention that can be used “as an in-game modifier for racetrack videogames whereby evaluations of simulated environmental conditions change the performance of the track during game play,” according to the complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
