In the Words of CIOs: There’s Growing Unease Regarding Firms’ Cybersecurity Postures

With the number of cybersecurity threats continually on the rise and the sophistication of hackers ever increasing, it comes as no surprise that cybersecurity was a major focus of the respondents to the 2022 LTN Tech Survey.

In this year’s survey, 71% of respondents reported being comfortable with their firm’s cybersecurity preparedness. At first glance, this number seems high. When compared with last year’s survey responses to the same question, however—wherein 83% voiced confidence in their cybersecurity preparedness—this year’s numbers suggest that firms, albeit slowly, are realizing that there’s room for improvement. Indeed, many firms now view cyber incidents as inevitable, even if they’re not yet acting on it.
