I got scammed by fake tech support

Text to Speech Voices

Ok so i'll try to make the story as short as i can:

I recently started having issues with my gpu. Because of the fact that the issues started right after a windows re-install i thought maybe a bad windows install caused some driver or adapter issues. In an effort to help fix the issue and any potential issues in the future i paid 40$ for a year license of software called "restoro" i immediately realized something wasn't right with the software when it said my cpu was 60 degrees even though i knew it wasn't. anyhow, i disregarded that as it seemed like the software was otherwise doing it's job. After using it the issue was of course still not fixed so i tried yet another windows re-install with a different method. After I re-installed windows again I went to re-install the software and realized the cd key was only a one time use. After that I called the support to either get my money back or get another key for the software. When I called they talked me into another 120$ for a "guaranteed fix" of the gpu issues

or my money back no questions asked. I was certainly skeptical but also intrigued at the same time so like a fool I did it. After watching the "technician" stumble his way around the computer for 4 hours and ask stupid questions I knew I had most likely got scammed. The next day I tried calling the support for a refund and my suspicions were confirmed.

I cancelled the card and filed a report with the bank since that's all I could really do. Now they are still sending me emails which I of course am not clicking and they are putting security pop-ups on my machine trying to get me back on the hook again. Now I am torn between what to do next and this is where I am seeking advice. After looking into this a little further it's clear this restoro company and reimage plus(the "tech support") are tied together in this scam and these companies have been at it for quite a while.

Should I just re-install windows and wipe my machine clean, or should I go down the rabbit hole a little further and see if I can get to the bottom of it somehow and stick it back to them? It's an honest question...what's done is done hopefully the bank refunds me but I also want revenge. The most disturbing part about this scam is how close they got themselves to Microsoft. I could have sworn restoro software that got me into this mess was recommended on Microsoft.com when I was looking for windows support. maybe I mis-typed Microsoft or something I don't know but the scam was only one click and one call away from what I thought was Microsoft.com.

This is just a friendly P.S.A against these 2 companies Restoro and Reimage plus and also any input or advice on how to proceed would be appreciated. I'm almost certain I have enough information to dig into this but I'm just not really sure how to go about it yet?
