Husker piloting research technology at Lincoln Children’s Zoo | Nebraska Today
Welcome to “She’s a Scientist,” a video series launched to highlight the work of female researchers at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Today, we’re showcasing Haley Beer, a graduate student in animal science. Beer is partnering with the Lincoln Children’s Zoo to pilot video tracking technology with the zoo’s cheetahs that can automatically monitor behavioral changes, allowing zookeepers to detect injury and illness earlier on.
