Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. HII on Monday said it formed Tuple, a joint venture with Markesman Group, "to accelerate next-generation cybersecurity solutions for the defense marketplace."
The joint venture was formed under the U.S. Small Business Administration mentor-protege program, HII said. The program allows eligible small businesses "to gain capacity and win government contracts by partnering with more experienced government contractors like HII, which serve as mentors," HII said.
The Tuple JV will use HII's information warfare domain and Markesman Group's cyber operations expertise to support Department of Defense's cyber mission, including offensive and defensive cyber operations; vulnerability analysis and risk assessment; and cloud and software development, HII said.
Tuple said its customers include the U.S. military, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the Defense Information Systems Agency, among others.
