Harford Community College announces new dean of business and applied technology – Baltimore Sun

Marc Minnick has been named the new dean of business and applied technology at Harford Community College.

Minnick comes to Harford from Manor College in Jenkintown, Pa. In addition to his academic experience, he brings extensive industry experience to Harford.

“The moment you step on Harford’s campus you feel a positive vibe,” Minnick said. “I know this positivity will lead students to success, and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Minnick previously served as the provost and vice president of academic affairs at Manor College. Prior to becoming provost, he served as program director of business programs; chair of the Business, Technology and Legal Studies Division; senior dean of the Business and Technology Division and director of academic assessment. He was also chair of the college’s COVID-19 response team.

He joined the faculty at Manor College in 2014 and his teaching has been recognized by both students and peers. In 2018, he was awarded Manor College’s Outstanding Educator Award and the Trustees Award, the school’s highest academic honors.





A Philadelphia native, Minnick holds an undergraduate degree from Immaculata University, a master’s in business administration from St. Joseph’s University, and a doctorate in business administration from Wilmington University.

Prior to joining Manor College, Minnick spent 23 years in the corporate sector where he held multiple executive-level positions.
