Golf Announces 2021 Schedule – Stevens Institute of Technology Athletics
HOBOKEN, N.J. (March 1, 2021) – The Stevens Institute of Technology golf team released its 2021 competition schedule Monday. The calendar features five events, culminating in the two-day 2021 MAC Freedom Championships in late April.
"I'm glad that our university and our athletic administration has given us the opportunity to return to competition," said head coach Charles Papendick. "Our entire team, from the student-athletes to myself, have greatly missed competition and we're excited to get to work. While some things will certainly be different, the basic premise remains the same: to compete and enjoy the fact we're back on the course."
The season gets underway on Apr. 5 with the Arcadia Invitational, which will be held at the Cedarbrook Country Club in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. The Ducks last played at Cedarbrook on Oct. 29, 2018, winning the Knights Invitational. When the Ducks resume play, it will be 530 days between intercollegiate competitions.
The second event of the season will be the York College Spring Invite, which will be held on Apr. 12 at the Country Club of York in York, Pennsylvania and will be followed four days later by the Rosemont College Quad Event at the Hawke Point Golf Club in Washington, New Jersey on Apr. 16. Stevens was set for Rosemont's Raven Invitational one season ago before the shutdown of spring sports.
Stevens will head to conference foe Alvernia University on Apr. 20 for the final event of the regular season. The Golden Wolves are set to host their annual invitational at the LedgeRock Golf Club in Mohnton, Pennsylvania.
The calendar closes with the MAC Freedom Championship at the Huntsville Golf Club in Dallas, Pennsylvania on Apr. 24-25.
Please note that all event times, dates and opponents are subject to change and fans remain prohibited from attending Stevens' home athletic events.
