Germany is one of the industrially most developed countries in the world with advanced education, social security and health care systems, and a booming job market. Situated at the heart of Europe at the crossroads of different cultures and traditions, it is Europe´s powerhouse with regard to technical innovation; it is also home to international businesses, to a thriving entrepreneurial scene, and to hundreds of institutions of higher education. Generous state funding results in very low tuition fees – for a world-class education! This presentation will focus on Technical University Darmstadt – one of Germany’s leading technical universities. We will present programs in the technology and natural sciences, such as mechanical, civil, electrical, environmental engineering; computer science/mathematics; chemistry/physics/biology/biomolecular engineering/materials science, complemented by liberal arts, humanities, and sports.
We „invented“ the electrical engineering program – a first world-wide in that field! For the last 150 years, we have offered an excellent education, an inspiring study environment on an innovative campus, used by a learning community of 26,000 students in over a 100 programs.
