Facebook Gets $50 Fine From Russia For Breaking Data Law

A Moscow courtroom ruled that Facebook violated a local data law. The law requires service provides to store Russian users’ data on servers physically located within Russian borders. According to Geek.com, the company was hit with a small fine of $50. The fine may be small but it could create a precedence that could later get Facebook completely banned in Russia. The same thing happened to LinkedIn, which has been banned for more than two years from Russia.
