Enterprise Center providing safer environment for fans through technology

Over the past year, the St. Louis Blues have introduced a significant number of technology upgrades at Enterprise Center that will provide a safer environment for guests upon their return to live events.

"One of our objectives in the renovation of Enterprise Center was to more thoroughly update and integrate our game and event experience for our fans and guests," said Steve Chapman, the Blues' Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. "Mainly centered around safety, the pandemic has brought to light many of the positive attributes of fan connectivity programs throughout our facilities and in some cases, it may have expedited our implementation of certain programs. But the goal has been, and continues to be, building a better experience for our fans and our guests. We believe the work that our team has done in his area will provide that and carry us forward into the future."

Back in 2018, the Blues partnered with Ticketmaster and began to shift fans towards using mobile ticketing. Prior to this season, nearly 75 percent of fans were using mobile tickets. Now, nearly 100 percent of fans have adopted mobile ticketing for a touchless experience when entering the game.

Building upon mobile tickets, the Blues have teamed up with Venuetize to provide mobile ordering for concessions through the NHL App. Fans who have selected the Blues as their favorite team in the NHL App can now securely store their credit card in a mobile wallet, which can be used to purchase food and beverages from a mobile device.

Merchandise can also be ordered from STL Authentics while at the game through the NHL App. Both concession and merchandise orders will be available for pickup at a specified time and location.

"Venuetize is proud to play a role in helping the St. Louis Blues welcome fans back to Enterprise Center," said Sam Yarin, Venuetize Vice President of Client Solutions. "This partnership will not only provide fans with mobile ordering and digital payment capabilities upon their immediate return to events, but also focuses on additional features and improvements for Blues fans and Enterprise Center event attendees for years to come. We are thrilled to be working alongside the St. Louis Blues organization and share the excitement of seeing fans back in stadiums and arenas once again!"

To make everything possible, Enterprise Center is also working with T-Mobile to offer improved connectivity and 5G service in the arena, while also converting Sprint's LTE service to T-Mobile's network. Through a partnership with the NHL, Verizon customers also enjoy 5G network service at Enterprise Center, with LTE networks also available for AT&T customers. Wifi connectivity is also available.

Other technology improvements that have recently been made at Enterprise Center include:

  • St. Louis company Action ATM has installed reverse ATMs, which allow fans to insert cash to a credit card that can be used throughout the arena.
  • Enterprise Center is encouraging the use of contactless payment options throughout the facility by utilizing NFC-enabled payment terminals that work with Apple Pay, Google Pay and other payment services.
  • Fans can use their phone camera to scan QR codes throughout the building and on the videoboard to purchase merchandise, participate in activations on Bluenatics and also participate in games such as the Lucky Puck Shuffle.
