MANILA - A cyber security non-profit firm on Monday warned the public against malicious holiday greetings on social media.
Once opened, the holiday greetings would redirect the user to a website asking for their data, and will then send a similar message to the victim's contacts, according to the Cyber Security Philippines - Computer Emergency Response Team.
It warned Filipinos against the following websites:
If victimized, the group urged users to immediately change their passwords for bank and social media accounts, reset their browsers, update their anti-malware, and scan their devices.
