Doing Exploits In God

british text to speech

DOING EXPLOITS

Daniel 11:32b - Those who know their God shall be strong and do mighty exploits

According to Webster, the word "Exploits" means an act of notable skill, strength, or cleverness

I have always asked myself- and I know am not alone- why we, Christians, cannot do the things that the apostles and other great men of God did? I Have heard many reasons such as, "it's not God's will" it's not God's time"..... So many reasons but out of all of them, I did not see a valid one. So, I have come to a conclusion that what the bible says is more sensible, vital and fundamental no matter what my feelings might be. I have heard some people argue that there are some miracles that happened in the bible which cannot happen today. One of such a miracle is that of raising the dead. Whoever thinks like this is mistaken because God is not seasonal! If he raised then He can do it again today.

The above scripture shows us;

There are those know God- who are these that know God? There's a big difference between knowing God and knowing about God. Every Kenyan knows about Kibaki but only a few know Kibaki. What I mean is this; there's a difference between hearing of a person and indeed knowing that person. When one knows about a certain person it means he knows his personality or character while hearing or knowing about a person shows about reputation. No one will do exploits unless he knows God. You must have a deeper knowledge of His character. For instance, we'll continue stinking in poverty if we do not realize that God is happy when I succeed in anything I do. Know what God's will is in every corner of your life.

Shall be strong- after knowing God, there 2 things that automatically will happen; you shall be strong, and do mighty exploits. The verb "shall" in this case is declarative. It's indicating that something must happen. After knowing God we shall be strong; why? One might ask. The reason for this is when you know God's personality you'll realize that He can do ALL things! (For more teachings on how to know God, see my article titled "UNDERSTANDING GOD") When we are strong, we are able to do great things. For us to be strong, we must know God.

We'll do exploits- I have repeatedly said that Christians are supposed to be the solution-providers to societal problems. Unfortunately, that's not the case; instead we're the cause! It's Christians who introduce, defend and practice abortion and homosexual! Purely Obnoxious!

Christianity is the channel that God has chosen to demonstrate His power on Earth. The bible tells us "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Pet. 2:9

If the bible calls us peculiar or chosen, we should not call ourselves otherwise. It's a shame that a country like ours- Kenya- has over 80% Christians but poverty and all sorts of misfortunes are the "tourists' attractions!"

How to do exploit

It starts by knowing God; quote the scripture says "those who know..." You cannot do exploit if you do not know God. How do I know God? The only formula I know of knowing somebody, God included, is spending time with Him. Many Christians are very lazy and worldly. We want to do exploit yet we do not want to sacrifice our time. We want to watch movies, football and soap operas then do exploit. It cannot work that way. Start by sacrificing your time, read the bible and obey what God says. When Jesus wasn't on a mountain praying, he was busy doing what was godly like raising the dead, healing the sick etc. The bible is a very good source of knowing God's character. It shows us that He's Omni-potent, loving, caring, trustworthy etc.

Unless we know God's character, some things will remain history and stories to us. For instance when God says "Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs." Isa. 61:7

This scripture can tell you some of God's traits e.g. He's a rewarder because he is giving a double portion. If a believer doesn't understand or believe this statement, there's nothing else that God can do. I know the bible talks about some things that look too good to be true but our duty is not to determine which ones to believe. We have to remember that God has already been proven. If we can agree with God on everything He says in His word we can walk with Him all the "way" like Enock. Enock's personality vanished as a result of walking with God unwaveringly. If you want to know God, spend time with Him through His word. I'll not suggest going to church as the best way of knowing God because of the increased heresy and false prophets. God will reveal Himself to those who seek Him.

The more we know God, the less fearful we'll become. We shall be strong in everything even things that look impossible to us. When we know it's God who works through us we have no reason to fret. Many times we fear to do something e.g. praying for the sick because we think we are the ones healing but we are wrong! God dwells richly in us! Remember He's called Emmanuel- God with us. The more of God we know the stronger we get, when we get strong the things that are suppressing us will be lifted up by our knowledge of Him! Are you connecting?

Conclusion

- Make every effort to know God because the more you know Him the stronger you become, and the stronger you become the more exploit you do. The key is knowledge of God.

- Salvation is not knowing God but rather introduction to God. We have to go deeper and know His heart for us to do exploit. What we do after salvation is what determines how much you know God.

- The kingdom of God is all about violence; where violence is involved, the winner wins depending on the strength. The more we strive to know God the better "fighters" we'll be.

- Because of knowing God to be a protector, Elisha unlike Gehazi, did not have to cry or pray. There are times to let God prove Himself.
