DHSI Plenary Lecture: “Digital Humanities Archive Fever”

Powered by iSpeech

MITH Associate Director Professor Matthew Kirschenbaum gave the plenary talk at the Digital Humanities Summer Institute (DHSI) on June 6, 2011. Kirschenbaum described his talk:

"Today's born-digital cultural and creative output will be the cultural heritage of tomorrow. In this talk I will draw from my experiences on three recent projects---Approaches to Managing and Collecting Born-Digital Literary Materials for Scholarly Use, Preserving Virtual Worlds, and Digital Forensics and Born-Digital Content in Cultural Heritage Collections---to articulate a research agenda at the intersection of digital humanities, digital preservation, and personal digital archives. The issues will be framed in relation to wider topics, including digital materiality, retro computing, digital wills and legacies, and computer history."
