0Destiny 2 Xur location and items, May 31-June 3
If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, heâs back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, heâs in the Tower. You can find Xur hanging out on the Hangar stairs behind the Dead Orbit vendor.
Xurâs inventory this week consists of the following:
- Xur isnât selling a weapon this week!
- Frost-EE5, Hunter legs: 23 Legendary Shards
- Aeon Safe, Titan gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
- Wings of Sacred Dawn, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
- Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
- Invitation quest: 9 Legendary Shards
Xurâs inventory caps out at 681 if youâre 700. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces. Weâve highlighted any great rolls below.
Frost-EE5
Fr0st-EE5 is a returning exotic from Destiny. Its intrinsic perk is Rapid Cooldown. When sprinting, your dodge, melee, and grenade energy will rapidly recharge. Dodging will also increase your sprint speed.
Fr0st-EE5 has some fun perk design that feeds into itself in a neat way. The actual usefulness of the perk is a whole different question, however. Hunters have so many good exotics that, even if Fr0st-EE5âs regeneration was incredible, it wouldnât be worth wearing over Celestial Nighthawk, Foetracer, or Orpheus Rig. Although if you play a lot of PvP and you donât like Foetracer for some reason, these could offer you some nice bonuses.
These boots have also gotten some strange love when farming for Nightfall weapons or speed running content. If youâre a Hunter main and you donât have this yet, donât skip them. But we wouldnât recommend picking them up if Hunter isnât your go-to class.
This weekâs roll:
Slot 1: Fusion rifle dexterity, hand cannon dexterity, outreach (class ability use reduces melee cooldown)
Slot 2: Scout rifle scavenger, special ammo finder
Aeon Safe
Part of the Aeon exotic line added in Curse of Osiris, the Aeon Safe gauntlets are for Titans. Their exotic perk is Aeon Energy, which gives class energy to nearby allies wearing other Aeon armor pieces each time you cast barricade. Non-Aeon users will also receive some energy. This is a terrible exotic and you can easily get it by completing the Curse of Osiris campaign on your Titan. Donât buy these.
This weekâs roll:
Slot 1: Fusion rifle loader, hand cannon loader, Impact Induction (melee attacks reduce grenade cooldown)
Slot 2: Sniper rifle scavenger, machine gun scavenger
Wings of Sacred Dawn
Wings of Sacred Dawn is one of the weirdest looking exotics in all of Destiny 2. Its exotic perk, Tome of Sacred Dawn, allows you to hover while aiming in the air, keeping you suspended for a short period of time. The more precision hits you get like this, the longer you stay up.
If you like floating in the air and flinging fire, check out this exotic.
This weekâs roll:
Slot 1: Unflinching bow aim, unflinching fusion rifle aim, unflinching Kinetic aim
Slot 2: Scout rifle reserves, special ammo finder
Invitation
If you havenât completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
