CyberWyoming kicks off its cybersecurity conference next week

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -The University of Wyoming is running its Wyoming Blockchain Stampede from September 19th to the 23rd.

It will also hold CyberWyoming’s Cybersecurity conference with several keynote speakers, including Dr. Erik Huffman.

He is the CEO and Founder of Hand-Shake Leadership and is a cyberpsychology and cybersecurity researcher.

He will be speaking about securing your digital privacy.

”How do hackers try to exploit that digital identity, and what does it mean when you lose that... How do you protect that, how are attackers trying ot exploit that, and how does that impact your overall organization? Whether its a Fortune 50, a Fortune 500 or its an organization of ten,” said Huffman.

Topics covered will include the mega-verse, web 3.0, digital identity, and blockchain technologies.





Wyoming’s U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis will also announce the Wyoming Hack-a-Thon winners.

”We’ve got the United States secret service lab coming, we have a professor at the University of Arkansas coming to talk about the pros and cons of Bio-Metric Identity. We’re talking about community sharing and we have a legal team of women that will be talking about protecting your digital identity legally,” said Laura Baker, Board President of CyberWyoming.

Participants can register online through CyberWyoming or get more information about the Wyoming Hack-a-Thon through the University of Wyoming; the event is open to the public.
