Cybersecurity Awareness Month begins October 1

This October, join Ohio University in celebrating the 18th annual Cyber Security Awareness Month. 

Ohio University has teamed up with the National Cybersecurity Alliance to become a Cybersecurity Awareness Month Champion. Each week throughout the month, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will explore different cybersecurity related themes: 

• Be cyber smart: Discover best practices to be cyber smart in your personal life 
• Fight the phish: Learn to recognize phishing schemes to keep your information secure 
• Explore. Experience. Share: A week focused on careers in cybersecurity 
• Cybersecurity first: Prioritizing cybersecurity in hybrid environments 

OIT encourages OHIO faculty, staff, and students to participate in this year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month, as everyone plays an important role in keeping our University’s digital community safe. Remember: “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.”
