Bonjour-Santé, a private Quebec medical-booking service that promises quick appointments, was the victim of a cyber attack on Sunday, its president said.
Benoît Brunel told TVA Nouvelles from Spain that the company decided to close its website temporarily as a precaution following the cyber attack Sunday morning.
Bonjour-Santé is not to be confused with the government-run Family Doctor Finder, or Guichet d’accès à un médecin de famille (GAMF), which was unaffected.
Last week, two rural Ontario hospitals were victims of ransomware attacks, and last Monday, the McGill University Health Centre was paralyzed for several hours after a computer shutdown. The MUHC incident was not related to any cyber attack.
