In this course, the student will evaluate the fundamentals of digital evidence and the way digital investigations are conducted. The student will analyze how to handle a digital crime scene, the cybercriminal modus operandi, and the use of digital evidence obtained from the Internet as an investigative method for criminal cases. The student will also describe the role of computers in violent crimes and the way the digital evidence is used as an alibi. Furthermore, the student will apply forensic science to networks.
