CHANGES PLANNED — Interactive teller machines soon will be added by Community Bank, officials have announced.

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Community Bank and QDS, a financial technology company headquartered in Charlotte, N.C, announced plans to enhance Community Bank’s client experience by installing state-of-the-art interactive teller machines and teller cash recyclers throughout the bank’s footprint.

“Together with QDS, we have developed a plan to extend the hours of our banking services, while improving our client experience and creating efficiencies throughout our operations,” said John Montgomery, president and CEO of Community Bank. “This initiative is one example of our commitment to delivering the technology our clients want and investing in our future as an independent community bank in our markets.”

Community Bank will be upgrading its entire ATM fleet to ITM technology, including three branch locations that were closed on June 30. The ITMs will offer more than a standard ATM, including video teller functionality to allow a client to interact with a teller, even after hours or where a branch no longer exists.

QDS will also provide teller cash recyclers and other cash handling solutions across the branches and commercial client base to improve operations, effectiveness and reach of Community Bank’s key services. The technology will empower existing staff to drive enhanced focus on client relationships and serving their needs.
