College of the North Atlantic’s School of Engineering Technology is celebrating a major achievement for its programs.
Sonny Hedge, Dean of the School of Engineering Technology, was thrilled to learn that five programs in the faculty have received full accreditation from Technology Accreditation Canada.
The five programs include Architectural Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Petroleum Engineering Technology.
Hedge says that achieving this distinction indicates that these programs had to undergo what he calls a “rigorous testing process.”
He says the extensive audit provides graduates and employers confidence that programs offered at CNA meet the educational standards of Canada’s engineering technology profession.
Hedge says when an institution or diploma program is properly accredited, you are able to easily gauge its overall quality.
