Chemical Sector Targeted in Latest US Cybersecurity Efforts
A US government cybersecurity initiative is being expanded to include the chemical sector, the Biden administration announced Wednesday.
Chemical companies and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency have agreed to a “chemical action plan” that will “serve as a roadmap to guide the sector’s assessment of their current cybersecurity practices over the next 100 days,” according to a White House fact sheet.
The action comes as the Biden administration continues efforts to protect US critical infrastructure from potentially devastating cyberattacks.
