0CEH vs ECSA Penetration Testing Certifications
iSpeech.org
What's the difference between CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and ECSA (EC-Council Certified Security Analyst)? Here's a list:
- CEH focuses on hacking tools and "hacking" methodology
- ECSA focuses on penetration testing methodologies and penetration testing execution
- The ECSA takes the skills you learned in CEH and applies them to a framework, used in the real-world for penetration testing
- The CEH comes before the ECSA in the penetration testing progression but is not a prerequisite.
- Both CEH and ECSA have Multiple Choice and Practical Exams. The Practicals are optional but highly encouraged.
