Cyber Security education is a huge part of our business! About 70 percent of our appointments has to do with cyber security. In our Group workshops/seminars at the communities like Ballenisles, Mirasol or Woodfield for instance, Cyber Security is our most popular. So many people fall victim to the online and phone scams. Wish there was more that we can do other than educate.
1. Always create a STRONG and unique password for each of your online accounts
2. Enable 2 Step Verification on any account that will allow it i.e. email, social media, financial…etc.
3. Ensure that the sites you visit or do business with are secured with an SSL certificate.
4. Manage your privacy and use a VPN as an extra layer of protection
5. Learn to identify phone and email scams so that you do not let any random person claiming to be from Apple, Microsoft…etc gain access to any of your devices.
