Ethereum creator explained his position on quantum power. Quantum computers, despite the benefits, will bring little practical benefit, Vitalik Buterin said on Twitter.

The author of Ethereum has remained aloof from the enthusiastic reactions of analysts about quantum superiority. Vitalik Buterin noted that quantum primacy for real calculi is like a hydrogen bomb for nuclear fusion. The existence of the phenomenon does not say anything about the practical benefits for people.
Buterin added that cryptography is based on two keys – private and public. Specialists will calculate the public key from the private one, but no one can do the opposite.
