Bug Bounty: Growing Pains – Road to Maturity

This session will introduce you to Walmart’s Bug Bounty adventure – take the journey with us as we talk pain points and what areas we focused on maturing.

Susan Graves is a wireless network engineer turned cybersecurity risk expert at Walmart who brings a unique mix of networking, compliance and security experience to the table. As part of Walmart’s information security team, Susan is responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, assessing and determining technical risk, and working across teams to keep the company’s technology environment secure. Susan joined Walmart in 2004 serving on the company’s field services helpdesk and in 2010, she moved into the wireless networking space. Through a myriad of experiences, she gained extensive knowledge in wireless and led her team through network segmentation which led to her interest in information security. During her 15 years at Walmart, Susan has worn many hats – from customer-facing field services, wireless network engineering, network security and now cybersecurity risk analysis. Susan also serves as co-chair for Walmart’s technology department’s fundraising activities for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals contributing to more than $1 billion raised by Walmart for CMN Hospitals over the past 30 years.





Terrye Molz is a 23-year Walmart associate and has spent the last 11 years in security vulnerability management where she helped to develop the company’s Data Discovery program. In her current role as risk lead on Walmart’s technical vulnerability management team, Terrye is responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, assessing and determining technical risk, and working across teams to keep the company’s technology environment secure. Terrye has held various technical roles at Walmart including programmer for key strategic initiatives and systems support. Terrye received her CISSP in 2015. As a lifelong resident of NW Arkansas, her daughter and son-in-law also work for Walmart.

Stanko Jankovic spent most of his professional career in Montenegro where he held various IT positions. As his career progressed, Stanko became intrigued with information security and began a steady focus on bug bounty hunting in 2016. Stanko earned MVP status on the Bugcrowd bug bounty platform in 2017, and after submitting many bugs to the Jet.com bug bounty program was recruited to join the Jet Security team. In his current role, Stanko is responsible for leading the bug bounty programs at Jet and Walmart. Stanko earned a Bachelor of Applied Computer Engineering from the University of Montenegro, and a master’s degree in information security and data protection from the University of Donja Gorica. During his career, Stanko has earned numerous certifications including MCSE, CCNP and LPIC2. In his free time, you may find Stanko cycling, stargazing, playing Legos with his son, reading about computers or at his computer – looking for bugs.
