Weequahic held off a rally from Technology to pick up a 62-59 win at home on Tuesday in Newark.
Reggie McFadden led Weequahic with 16 points while Zishawn Williams and Dwight Cunningham had 14 points each, Cunningham adding 11 rebounds for a double-double.
Weequahic led 40-31 at the half on the way to the win.
Marc Cosmeus poured in a career-high 29 points, surpassing the 23 points he had last season against Ferris. Joshua Campbell added 15 points and Alexander Rivera had 10.
Weequahic (1-1) will head to Science Park on Thursday while Technology (1-3) will head to American History on Thursday.
