Efficient in pulling aerobatic maneuvers, the Big Drone is the brainchild of Drone Champions League (DCL), an international drone racing organization. In this video at CNET, Mirko Cesena explains that the inspiration behind the gadget was the Formula One cars. Made of a carbon fiber airframe, the Big Drone has six arms, each with a pair of co-axial aerofoils mounted at the ends. It has a sleek body that is controlled by a pilot on the ground rather than the one flying it. The gadget flexed its aerial acrobatics in the skies over Croatia in February 2020.
