Apple Removes Parental Control Apps That Invaded Privacy

Geek.com reports users criticized Apple for removing certain parental control apps from its App Store. On Sunday, Apple said it removed many parental control apps in order to protect users’ privacy and security. The company said in a press release that the apps in question could expose users’ browsing history, location, and email accounts to third parties. Apple said that the apps deleted were using what it called a "highly invasive technology" called Mobile Device Management, or MDM.
