Apex Legends tournaments have been pretty dormant since being quite prominent around the game's launch, but that's all changing with ESPN announcing they will be hosting two major tournaments this summer.

For those of you who have been waiting for the competitive Apex Legends scene to start back up, this is your perfect opportunity for it.

ESPN announced on June 5 that they will be creating EXP, a new event series that will feature a plethora of competitions at ESPN-owned events.

Two tournaments are on the way.

Apex Legends will be kicking things off with two events this summer, The 2019 ESPYS and X Games Minneapolis 2019.

The ESPYS event will be a celebrity pro-am type event like Fortnite has done, and will feature celebrities, influencers, and athletes in what is called the EXP Pro-Am Apex Legends Exhibition. This will take place on July 11.

Season 2 is about to begin.

The more competitive event will take place at the X-Games, and it's called the EXP Invitational - Apex Legends at X Games Minneapolis. This event takes place August 1-4, and will be the only esports event showcased at the X Games.

Beginning June 12 and running until June 22, fans will have the opportunity to win a spot to play alongside athletes, celebrities, and influencers, plus get the chance to attend the 2019 ESPYS by donating in the hopes to win The ESPYS Sweepstakes.
