Ann Arbor’s Censys Closes $35M Series B Funding to Limit Cybersecurity Threats
Censys in Ann Arbor, a provider of continuous attack surface management that seeks to prevents cybersecurity breaches, has announced the completion of a $35 million Series B funding round led by Intel Capital.
Previous investors, including Google Ventures, Decibel, and Greylock Partners, also participated in the round. Censys will use the funding to accelerate its research and development, engineering, products, and sales operations. In addition, the company has appointed Brad Brooks as CEO. He was formerly CEO of OneLogin.

According to the 2020 Verizon Data Breach Investigation Report, internet-facing cloud assets were involved in 73 percent of reported cybersecurity incidents. Censys provides attack surface management, enabling organizations to comprehensively manage their Internet-facing assets and risks regardless of host location, including discovering previously unknown internet assets.
The platform continuously discovers organizations’ internet assets and monitors them as part of a comprehensive inventory, identifies egregious security issues, and prevents oversights from becoming vulnerabilities by ensuring that assets are protected by integrating with existing security solutions.
