This video describes my new book, An Introduction to Cybersecurity for Busy People.
Every day the news contains another headline about computer breaches, data loss, credit cards stolen, computer fraud, ransomware, massive fines for being breached, malware, viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, phishing, spear phishing, whale phishing, vulnerabilites, cybercrime, home video cameras getting hacked, and more. Then there are new regulations about data privacy, and you need good security if you are going to protect data and take reasonable means to ensure its privacy. It's enough to make you terrified. Yet you are too busy to spend a lot of time figuring this out.
That's why I created the short book, "An Introduction to Cybersecurity for Busy People." It won't take long to read, and once you have read it you will have a pretty good idea of how to take reasonable measures to protect yourself, your family, and your business in the digital world. And the basics are not very complicated.
The book is available on Amazon Kindle as an eBook, and is also in Kindle Unlimited to read for free if you are a member. The book is not static, it will be updated as new information becomes available or in response to reader suggestions.
Note that this book is an overview, it does not contain detailed, how-to information. It tells you in broad strokes how to protect yourself and your business, but it it not an operations manual for cybersecurity. If you are looking for an operations manual with detailed technical instructions then this book is not for you. This book is aimed at people who want to get an overview of cybersecurity because they are too busy to delve into detailed technical information.
