The alloy is very durable and based on our experience even after letting the unit fall without any cushion waiting for it at the bottom we still didn’t see any damage. Great specs

Considering the size of this product, no one would really expect amazing specifications from it. But the reality is that this is an extremely impressive purchase, especially if you take into consideration the size of this thing. It’s not that large to begin with, but it does pack a punch and everyone will enjoy it due to that for the most part.

The sheer fact that you can have Windows 10 running on a small screen like this is an achievement. It totally works and you will find it very pleasant and a delightful experience as a whole to be honest, which is exactly what you need to focus on. The fact that you get a rather new Celeron processor is also great for what it is. Of course they could have opted for a better processor, but this one is more than amazing for what it is, and at this price you would be hard to argue about value and quality to be honest.

It also has integrated graphics, something that a lot of people would have a gripe with more often than not. Here you have an Intel HD Graphics 615. This is one of the better integrated graphics out there and it actually packs a punch considering the value and quality you receive as a whole. You will enjoy this immensely, so try to keep that in mind and you will be fine for the most part.

Speaking of that, the processor has 850 Mhz. Again, this is not the most powerful processor out there, but it will actually work quite nicely considering the power it has and the value that you would expect. This is a great investment to say the least, especially if you’re into great tech pieces that don’t cost a whole lot of money.

Storage space and RAM

When it comes to RAM, this is the new version that has 8 GB of RAM. The old version had 4 GB, and obviously it wasn’t that powerful. But this one is actually very powerful for what it is, and that’s maybe one of the major factors that truly makes this product stand out of the crowd. On top of that, the fact that you get 128 GB of storage with such a small product is quite amazing as well.

You just need to make sure that you give it a shot and test it out for yourself. Yes it might take a little while to get it working the way you want, but it’s a masterful product for what it is, and it’s something you will enjoy immensely all the time. Keyboard design

The manufacturer went with a traditional keyboard design. You will have minimal issues getting used with it. Yes, it’s not a special keyboard or anything like that, but they did try to make it as compact as possible. The layout might feel a bit strange at first, but for the most part you will find this very convenient and you will enjoy all the same either way.

Connectivity

One of the most important things about this product is that it’s created with expandability in mind. We all want to add that extra storage space and features. And with this product you really get it. You can add in extra storage with the SD card slot, so you can easily keep important files on a large SD card that’s even bigger than the current storage. It totally works and you will enjoy it all the same. There aren’t too many USB ports, but with a smart usage approach like this you will not have a problem making the most out of them. You just need to be creative and push the boundaries a little bit, you will enjoy the process a lot.

Battery life

It’s crucial to make sure that you have enough battery life to use this thing for as much time as you need. Unfortunately, the smaller size does require some small changes here and there. As far as we can see, the primary focus is to opt for a smaller battery life if possible. That’s not entirely problematic, as the Amber Black GPD Pocket 2 does have a battery life ranging from 6 hours to 8 hours in total. Of course this will vary based on how you use the unit. But even so, having this much battery life is impressive and unlike anything that you will find out there. So it’s totally worth checking it out if possible.

Optical navigation

You should also keep in mind that the Amber Black GPD Pocket 2 comes with optical navigation. That’s an incredible thing to have on a laptop that’s so small. But yes, you can operate with one finger for a complete rotation and movement anywhere without any issues. This product is offering you consistency, quality and tremendous value for the money here.
