When Construction Technology students return to the Alpena High School in a few weeks, they will have a new pole barn to store materials and to learn the skills of the trade. Saddler Construction is constructing the 40′ x 64′ foot barn. Students in the program have built over 34 homes in the Alpena area including those the most recent ones on Wildcat Court.
In the 2021-22 Michigan School Aid Budget, additional money was allocated to Career and Technical Education districts that were not supported with local millage dollars.
Alpena Schools received $535,715 on behalf of the CTE District that also includes Alcona Schools.
