2020 iPhone Shock As Nine ‘All-New’ Apple iPhones Revealed

TTS Demo

We already know a lot about Apple’s iPhone 12 range, including its new design and (potentially) game-changing new upgrades. But now Apple has confirmed no less than nine new iPhone 12 models.

Spotted by (the ever-alert) MySmartPrice, Apple has publicly filed the official model numbers for the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max in the Eurasian database, an official regulatory body. The model numbers are: A2176, A2172, A2341, A2342, A2399, A2403, A2407, A2408, and A2411 and they identify four clear product lines and one mystery model.

The A21 models are the new entry-level 5.4-inch iPhone 12 which will not only be Apple’s most compact smartphone in years, but also hit a new price low for bezel-less iPhones. The first two A23 models are the iPhone 12 Max - a 6.1-inch model which will replace the current iPhone 11, as Apple reshuffles its line-up. While the A24 models are the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, which look set to push the boundaries on smartphone camera tech.

The mystery is the A2399, which doesn’t have a clear pairing. The A23 coding suggests iPhone 12 Max, but the 99 suggests it is differentiated in some way. Potentially this could be in terms of the supplier (display or modem, for example), but right now there is no clear giveaway.

How reliable is the Eurasian database? As an official regulatory body, it is never wrong. Consequently, this is the first official confirmation of the expanded iPhone 12 line-up and there’s a lot to be excited about. Apple will introduce a new design for the first time in three generations, add 5G to every model, introduce near-instantaneous 3D environmental mapping and deliver the first price cut in generations. We also have a good idea about the release date.

In fact, there are only two things which count against the iPhone 12 range at this stage: the doubts surrounding their ProMotion Displays and the fact the iPhone 13 looks even better.
