In this video I give a brief outline of some of the historical challenges facing internet privacy. The major problem was something that is central to Cryptography, namely the 'key distribution' problem. Fortunately for us, some smart people were able to find an amazing mathematical solution (I will talk about it more in another video) and we are now able to have secure communication online.
