The University of Northern Iowa has added an option to complete its technology management Bachelor of Arts program fully online. According to a news release, the addition is part of UNI’s effort to provide educational opportunities to place-bound, adult learners looking to advance their careers while working full time. The technology management program is designed for those holding an associate degree, which allows students to complete the degree in as little as two years. Graduates learn about industry practices in organizational resources and processes and are prepared to enter the manufacturing, engineering or technology fields. “Each year, we see an increase in the number of students that wish to complete their four-year degrees to meet the increasing number of job opportunities in the field,” said Chris Shaw, program adviser in the UNI department of applied engineering and technical management. “This program is the best way to get students there. It sets the foundation of building managerial skills around the technical skills that they have earned through their two-year education.” The addition makes the technology management program the ninth undergraduate program at UNI to offer fully online delivery. Applications are open for spring 2023 classes. More information is available on the program page.
