**R**adical **A**chievement **M**ade **P**ossible
A youth employment training program sustained through a profitable retail and online based business venture for at-risk youth and young adults, aged 15 to 24 years of age, facing barriers to employment. We are poised to **RAMP** up by December 2011, the business plan is complete, advisory committees are in place, partners have been identified, other resources are available and substantial community support exists.

Why does our community need **RAMP**?
Government and service providers consistently identify youth employment in North Vancouver as a large gap particularly for the higher risk populations. The vulnerabilities of this population are often exploited resulting in high costs to our community’s health, social service and justice systems. **RAMP** offers a sustainable solution to this gap in youth employment.

The **RAMP** Youth Consignment Store is a unique concept for a retail store offering unisex brand name consignment clothing and accessories for teens and young adults at affordable prices. A web based consignment business will also be developed. Young designers and artists will be featured. **RAMP** offers an environmental, social and budget conscious alternative to mainstream shopping.
**RAMP** believes that attention to social and environmental values makes for good business. The themes of recycling and sustainability are the cornerstones of the Project. **R**euse **A**ll **M**aterial **P**lease.

**RAMP** will lead a Community Development Campaign to build awareness, knowledge and links for community members to contribute to the project. This will be accomplished through advisory committees, continuous evaluation, fundraising, donations, corporate and volunteer mentorship, marketing, and working partnerships with businesses to hire youth. The impact of **RAMP** has already begun in this dynamic community conversation regarding youth employment needs on the North Shore of Vancouver.
