As the number of security incidents increases and more and more world wide organizations are being compromised, it is required to stop and analyze what is wrong with the way we are developing applications. In this Webinar we will discuss the current affairs of Web application security and how we can use open sourced guidances/tools to write secure code. 

The main goal of this Webinar is to create an awareness ecosystem where software engineers can figure out  how to write secure applications,so they can bring this concerns to their development team within organizations. With an educative stand point we will discuss how to do things better and how to collaborate as  a community member to create a safer world.

Michael Hidalgo is a software developer based on San José, Costa Rica.  He works as a software developer engineer for one of the best application security companies in the industry. During the last couple of years, he has been focused in the field of application security helping the community to make Web application security visible. 





Michael is the OWASP chapter leader in Costa Rica where he has organized several conferences and trainings to provide tools to organization so they can understand and build secure software. Michael is also an IEEE member and a member of IEEE young professionals program.
