The new South Central Institute of Technology (SCIoT) building in Blackbird Leys is a hub for technology, and will be launched on Thursday.

The institute has undergone a £4m investment to revitalise the digital offering for young people across the region and is easily accessible via a dedicated term-time bus from Oxford railway station.

It has been designed to offer something that traditional further education and higher education routes haven’t before and is focused on increasing diversity across the technology sector.

An important aspect will be building and developing relationships within the business community throughout the Thames Valley and engaging with local employers to provide digital opportunities for learners and their staff.
